How to join

Before you join

You need Minecraft: Java Edition 1.21 or newer, or Bedrock Edition on Windows, a phone or a console. The join page has the address and the steps for each device. On Bedrock your name shows with a dot in front, like .Steve, and that is the name to type if you ever buy something in the store.

Three rules catch new players more often than the rest. The full list is on the rules page.

  • X-ray in any form, including a resource pack that makes stone invisible. Packs that only make ores easier to see are allowed.
  • Anything that plays for you: auto-clickers, macros, auto-sell and auto-rankup scripts.
  • Second accounts that collect extra vote rewards. Alts caught farming rewards are banned along with the main account.

Your first minutes in Mine A

You spawn with a stone pickaxe, no money and one mine you can enter. Mine A is cobblestone and coal. It pays little, but it is always open, and nobody can strip it bare: every mine refills on a timer, and /mines shows how long until the next one.

Sell, then rank up

There are two ways to turn blocks into prison cash:

  • /sell all sells your inventory to the shop at a guaranteed price. It is instant, and the price does not move.
  • The auction house sells to other players, who may pay more for good blocks. It takes longer.

When your balance covers the next letter, run /rankup. The gate to Mine B opens at once, and Mine B pays more per block than A. Every letter after that costs more and pays more, all the way to Z. How the mines work.

Blocks also drop tokens, which are a separate count from your cash. Do not spend them in your first hour. They buy custom enchants for your pickaxe, and one good enchant level is worth more than anything else you could put them toward early on.

Vote on your first day

Each vote on a listing site pays $25,000 in prison cash and 5 vote tokens to spend in /voteshop, once every 24 hours per site. Seven days in a row adds a cosmetic trail charge. The vote page lists the sites.

Find a gang, or start one

You can play the whole prison alone. A gang adds a shared vault, a gang balance and a gang level that rises with every block its members mine, with room for up to eight players. Ask in chat, or start your own with /gang create <name>. How gangs work.

Check who can take items out of a gang vault before you put anything in. The rules treat trades and vault access as agreements, and a scam is reversed and punished.

What to do after the first hour

The ladder is the spine of the server, and everything else hangs off it:

  • Tokens and custom enchants. The pickaxe you build is what makes the later mines bearable.
  • Plot mines. Your own mine, with plot miners working it while you are elsewhere.
  • Crates. Vote every day; the vote tokens add up, and the vote shop is where keys come from.
  • Events and bosses. Free to turn up to, and they pay in tokens and keys.
  • /warp pvp. Opt-in, and the only place on the server where you can lose what you are carrying.

When you reach Z

At Z, /prestige sends you back to A with a permanent sell bonus. It is optional, there are 100 prestiges to climb, and your number shows next to your name. What is prestige?
