At Z the prison gives you a choice: stay where you are, or go back to A with a permanent bonus.
What is prestige?
Prestige on a Minecraft prison server is an optional reset at the top rank: you give up your rank and your money and start again from the first mine with a permanent bonus. On Fractured Skies, /prestige at Z takes your rank back to A and your balance to zero and adds a permanent sell bonus that applies in every mine.
There are 100 prestiges. That is the whole shape of the server: a ladder long enough that nobody finishes it in a month, and a number next to your name that says exactly how far up it you are. Prestige cannot be bought at any point on it.
The second run through the alphabet is faster than the first, and the third faster than the second. Your prestige number shows next to your name in chat and on /top, and it is the only number on the server that says how long you have actually been here.
What you keep
Every prestige adds to your sell multiplier and raises the limit on what you can hold. The bonus is permanent, account-wide, and applies in every mine, so the letters you re-earn in the mines pay more than they did the first time.
What a prestige never touches: your tokens, the custom enchants on your pickaxe, your plot mine, your cosmetics or anything in a vault. The tool you spent the last run building is what makes the next run quicker.
Prestige and premium ranks
Two different ladders share the word “rank” on a prison server, and only one of them is for sale:
- Mine ranks A to Z and prestige 1 to 100 are earned by mining. Nobody can buy, gift or transfer either.
- Premium ranks are the store’s cosmetic and convenience tiers. They sit beside your mine rank and never move it.
Earned only
There is no prestige package in the store and there never will be. Prestige is the one number on the server that cannot be bought, which is the only reason it means anything.
Your prestige is yours alone. Joining or leaving a gang never touches it; the gang keeps a level of its own.
